Yesterday, at the Pacific 2017 conference in Sydney, AMOG's Professor Andrew Potts was on hand to accept the prestigious 2017 Maritime Australia Civil Industry National Innovation Award for AMOG's LGS technology, presented by the Minister for Defence Industry, Hon Christopher Pyne MP.

AMOG Technology's LGS® is set to be deployed off the coast of Australia, as part of Phase 1 of a multi-million dollar contract. Designed to reduce drag and suppress vortex-induced vibration on subsea infrastructure, this will be the first time that buoyancy modules incorporating this technology are applied to a shallow-depth field.

The Argentina Petroleum and Gas Institute (IAPG) has invited AMOG to participate in the 3rd. Congreso Latinoamerica y del Caribe de Perforacion, Terminacion, Reparacion y Servicios de Pozos, to be held in the City of Buenos Aires simultaneously with the 11th edition of the Argentina Oil & Gas Expo. 

Late last month, AMOG's Dr Hayden Marcollo and Gary Farrow presented technical papers at the 36th International Conference on Ocean, Offshore and Arctic Engineering (OMAE) conference in Trondheim, Norway. Their presentations covered drilling riser case studies, fatigue performance of offshore mooring chains, and a new wave energy converter.
