AMOG was engaged for the provision of riser concept design engineering services to a IFDP FPSO, to support the design of an Aframax sized FPSO to replace the existing small Crystal Ocean and Basker Spirit storage vessel.

The Riser engineering included conducting a cost and screening study to determine optimal riser configuration, (Lazy /Steep / Wave / Arch). Full detailed dynamic analysis of the selected optimal configuration was conducted including interference analysis. Services also included specification writing.

A full dynamic analysis of the disconnected buoy and riser state was also conducted. Payload weight control of the disconnected buoy was also managed to ensure that the disconnected buoy and mooring system would be designed and fabricated with enough reserve buoyancy.
