AMOG was engaged to conduct an independent compliance review of the Hazardous Area Classification that was produced for a Design and Construct Defence project at RAAF Base Williamtown.
The Hazardous Area Classification (HAC) that had not been conducted by AMOG, for the Design and Construct Defence project at RAAF Base Williamtown was a performance-based assessment. The hazards included gas and dust, but no EO. The Defence representative was concerned with the performance-based approach.
AMOG's scope was to undertake an independent review of the performance-based Hazardous Area Classification and provide an independent assessment report to be used as an input to resolve a dispute with Defence regarding the compliance of the HAC. This task evolved into considerable amount of review and rectification assistance.
