CPB is the managing contractor for the construction of the Post Entry Quarantine (PEQ) facility in Mickleham, Victoria for the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. Phase 1 of the facility was officially was opened on 26 October 2015 and is now operational for the import of bees, cats, dogs, horses and plants.
During construction, a delay in the delivery of the network gas connection required a temporary solution for gas supply. AMOG provided safety engineering support in assessing the proposed temporary Liquid Natural Gas plant.
AMOG support included:
- Achieving compliance with all relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) legislation for the LNG plant for the DAFF Future Post Entry Quarantine Facility
- Safety Assessment and HAZOP to identify the significant safety related risks associated with the introduction of hazardous chemicals on site
- Update of the Leighton site-wide Emergency Plan and supply the plan to the Country Fire Authority
- Other safety activities required for compliance with the WHS Regulations 2011
