The performance of floating hoses for two deepwater CALM Buoys in 1200 m water depth was recently analysed by AMOG. The CALM Buoys were moored in close vicinity to spread moored FPSOs. The CALM Buoys each have two floating double-carcass marine hose strings to make connection to the export tankers.

The floating hose analysis assessed the impact of the environment on both the tanker loading (CALM Buoy connected) condition as well as the free floating CALM Buoy condition.
