The team at AMOG would like to congratulate Cherie Holland on her election to the the grade of Fellow by the institute of Engineers Australia, in recognition of the important contribution that she has made to the engineering profession and to Engineers Australia. Cherie has also achieved chartered status in 3 Areas of Practice: Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Risk Engineering.
Cherie is a specialist Systems Safety professional, having refined her skill set over two decades of experience as a system designer, system safety analyst, and specialist functional safety consultant to general industry (mining, process, major hazard facilities, offshore, rail, transport, maritime and defence). Cherie has extensive experience with: the application of functional safety to complex systems, being particularly skilled in hardware SIL verification and functional safety assessments reliability, availability, maintainability, and risk based inspections on mechanical, electrical and structural systems, development of safety management systems, approved assessor and expert advisor on major hazard facilities, development of safety cases, and delivery of safety engineering training through private and public Master Class courses.
Cherie is the Head of the System Safety, Risk & Reliability Engineering Group here at AMOG.
