With AMOG's comprehensive expertise in mooring chains and corrosion, Andrés will be presenting a technical paper, "The Impact of Microbiologially Influenced Corrosion (MIC) on Mooring Chain and Water Injection Pipeline Corrosion."

This paper will discuss recent advances in the understanding of fundamental degradation mechanisms, particularly subsea components in warmer waters, and the impact of highly localized MIC and resultant large pits. Andrés will explain how the findings from the SCORCH JIP allow for significant improvements in the management of mooring system integrity, the potential for improved and extended operation of assets, and how this currently being incorporated into industry design guidance.

PECOM has been premier event for the oil and gas industry since 1994 and this year will be held on March 28-30, 2017 in Tabasco, Mexico Parque Tabasco, 86037 Villahermosa.
