Due to the hazardous nature of the mining industry, accidents invariably happen that lead to worker harm and day-to-day operations can bring about serious long-term health and quality of life consequences. Safety has come along leaps and bounds over the past few decades, with new technologies, innovations and better protocols significantly reducing the number of injuries and deaths at mine sites, processing facilities and manufacturing facilities of METS companies. However, evidence suggests that safety advancements have plateaued recently, whilst there is still a substantial way to go until we can witness near zero harm levels.

This Austmine live webinar will look at a range of issues that must be considered when accounting for health & safety of the mining & METS workforce. The webinar will host an expert panel of Australian METS representatives who specialise in the health & safety field and have considerable experience in the mining sector, including:

  • Mike Lane, Managing Director, Remsafe
  • Allan Lane, National Sales Manager - Safety Products, Enware
  • Liam Hewitt, Lead Engineer, AMOG Consulting
  • Daniel Bongers, Chief Technology Officer, SmartCap Technologies
