On the morning of the 26th April 2016, the Australian Government publicly announced that, subject to further discussions on commercial matters, DCNS was selected as the preferred international partner for the design of the 12 Future Submarines.

Australia and Colombia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Bilateral Cooperation in the oil and gas sector that will help enhance business ties between both countries.

Minister for Resources, Energy and Northern Australia, Josh Frydenberg, signed the MOU in Melbourne on 22 January and Colombia’s Mining and Energy Minister, Tomas Gonzalez, signed a week later in Bogota.

Crispin Conroy, Austrade Senior Trade Commissioner for Colombia, and Mauricio de la Mora, President of the Colombian National Hydrocarbons Agency, joined Colombia’s Minister Gonzalez in Bogota to finalise the signing.

The agreement will help enhance opportunities for Australia’s well-established oil and gas sectors.

OMV New Zealand recently announced a Maari Joint Venture project to undertake a further refurbishment on the mooring system of the field's floating production station, the Raroa.

AMOG has played a key role in assisting OMV with the previous work undertaken on the Raroa and will continue to do so during this next phase.

SUT Melbourne presents a documentary film, created by Bibby Offshore, on the successful rescue of a diver who became detached from his umbilical and was stranded on the seabed.  The screening will be followed by a Q&A panel discussion, with diving and ROV experts, and networking drinks.
