Over the past few years, a number of major failures of the mooring system on offshore oil floating production facilities have occurred, resulting in significant production and financial loss, whilst fortuitously avoiding environmental damage. Chris Carra, will be presenting at the 2017 Asset Management Conference, talking about the journey the offshore industry has recently undergone in relation to a fundamental rethink of the approach to mooring integrity.

In a media release yesterday, it was announced that AMOG's CEO, Professor Andrew Potts was elected by the Academy as a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technology and Engineering (ATSE).

The Argentina Petroleum and Gas Institute (IAPG) has invited AMOG to participate in the 3rd. Congreso Latinoamerica y del Caribe de Perforacion, Terminacion, Reparacion y Servicios de Pozos, to be held in the City of Buenos Aires simultaneously with the 11th edition of the Argentina Oil & Gas Expo. 

Yesterday, at the Pacific 2017 conference in Sydney, AMOG's Professor Andrew Potts was on hand to accept the prestigious 2017 Maritime Australia Civil Industry National Innovation Award for AMOG's LGS technology, presented by the Minister for Defence Industry, Hon Christopher Pyne MP.

AMOG Technology's LGS® is set to be deployed off the coast of Australia, as part of Phase 1 of a multi-million dollar contract. Designed to reduce drag and suppress vortex-induced vibration on subsea infrastructure, this will be the first time that buoyancy modules incorporating this technology are applied to a shallow-depth field.
