The Chairman and board of directors of AMOG Holdings Pty Ltd are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Ben Clark as Chief Executive Officer, effectively immediately.
It is with profound shock and sadness that we announce that AMOG’s CEO and founder, Professor Andrew E Potts, has passed away. We extend our deepest condolences to Andrew’s family and our thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
Andrew’s engineering legacy is a company built upon technical excellence; a company that personifies his dedication to engineering, passion for innovation, devotion to sharing his knowledge, and drive to excel. From humble beginnings, to a global consultancy, the organisation has grown and will continue to flourish, in his memory.
AMOG Ventures Pty Limited (AMOG) and French naval technology specialist ECA Robotics (ECA) have formed a Melbourne-based Joint Venture company to pursue a Royal Australian Navy contract worth up to $100 million. The birth of the new 50:50 joint venture company, Advanced Magnetic Ranges Australia Pty Limited (AMRA), was witnessed by Victorian Minister for Jobs, Innovation and Trade, The Hon Martin Pakula MP, and the French government’s Direction Générale de l’Armement (DGA) representative, General Yannick Cailliez.
Representatives from UK maritime industry service and product suppliers, universities, regulators, infrastructure managers and the Marine‑i initiative joined the AMOG team, to consider and discuss the development of a wave energy converter in the South West.
AMOG Consulting Ltd is pleased to announce that the fabrication of our Wave Energy Converter (WEC) technology demonstrator will be undertaken by Mainstay Marine Solutions Ltd.
The contract was awarded to Mainstay Marine, workboat builders and marine engineers in South West Wales, after a detailed and considered tender review process.
At Euronaval 2018, AMOG entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with French company, the ECA Group. Signed in the presence of the Honorable David Johnston from the Australian Export Defence Office, the MoU is a commitment by both parties to work together on a deperming station program.
